Cancellation and Refund of Donations

At One Step Towards Peace (OSTP), we greatly appreciate the generosity of our donors in supporting our mission to protect the environment and promote sustainable practices. As a charitable organization, we strive to use all donations effectively and responsibly. However, we understand that there may be situations where donors wish to request a cancellation or refund. This policy outlines the conditions under which donations can be canceled or refunded.

Effective Date: 1 January 2024

1. Donation Cancellation

  • Donations made to One Step Towards Peace (OSTP) are generally non-refundable.
  • If you make a donation by mistake or encounter an error during the donation process, you may request a cancellation within 7 calendar days of the donation date.
  • To cancel a donation, please contact us promptly with your full name, donation amount, transaction ID, and the reason for cancellation. Requests can be made by emailing us at care@onesteptowardspeace.com or officialonesteptowardspeace@gmail.com, or by calling +91-8929140211.

2. Refund Policy

Refunds for donations are considered only under exceptional circumstances, which include:

  • Technical issues where the transaction was processed incorrectly or multiple donations were made in error.
  • Fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.

Refund requests must be submitted within 15 calendar days of the donation. The final decision on whether a refund will be issued rests with One Step Towards Peace (OSTP) management, and we will notify you of our decision within 10 business days of receiving your request.

3. Processing Refunds

  • If a refund is approved, it will be processed within 15 business days of the approval.
  • Refunds will be made using the original payment method, and no cash or alternative refunds will be provided.
  • Any processing fees or bank charges incurred during the transaction may be deducted from the refund amount.

4. Non-Refundable Donations

The following donations are non-refundable:

  • Donations made more than 15 calendar days prior to the refund request.
  • Donations that have been used for environmental protection activities, events, or programs.
  • Donations received as part of a fundraising campaign that explicitly stated donations were non-refundable.

5. Changes to the Policy

One Step Towards Peace (OSTP) reserves the right to modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date will be updated accordingly.
